Idiopathic scoliosis may go unnoticed in a child because it is rarely painful. Parents should watch for the following symptoms:
- Uneven shoulders/Leaning to one side
- Prominent shoulder blade(s)
- Uneven waistline
- Elevated or uneven hips
- Curving spine that looks like an "S" or "C" when viewed from behind
